Hi there!

I’m Samantha King and I’m here to offer you the comfort, understanding and space needed to become the best version of yourself.

Sometimes life can be hard, but you don’t have to go through it alone. I am here to serve as your guide to overcome any challenges, painful moments or rough days.

I’m an LCSW licensed psychotherapist, and when I’m not seeing clients, I’m either at a yoga class, out exploring the national parks, or practicing my new found love for pottery. 

One of the best ways to heal is simply getting everything out.

I've been there before

I am a human first, therapist second. 

I sit on the other side of the chair because I am a believer in the power of talking things out, no matter how big or small they may be. Because of that, I know exactly what it feels like to see a therapist for the first time, to open up and be vulnerable. 

Our minds sometimes convince us that we are alone in our emotions when in reality we all have a bigger overlap of experiences than we believe. This overlap of experiences creates connection, which is where the magic happens. 

As someone who has been in your shoes, I can relate to parts of the journey that you’re going through. I would love to help you in your journey  towards recovery or self-improvement.

Seeing emotional change shapes me into the therapist, and human that I am.

 

My Approach

When you sit across from me on the couch, I am bringing my entire authentic self to the session. I utilize my compassion, our partnership and a holistic approach to learn about who you have been, who you currently are and who you want to be. Therapy is not a “one size fits all” line of work.
The most vital part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship. I use a collaborative approach to help you to realize your strengths and embed confidence. I have training in evidence-based approaches as well as postmodern therapy approaches. No matter what approach we decide to take together, I am placing the highest importance on our relationship.
